S-A-F-E-T-Y safe, mode!
Something feels off about your vehicle, and it’s not because we just got the lyrics to “Safety Dance” stuck in your head. The best description that you feel fits its behavior is that it’s slow and sluggish, almost as though it’s groggy and struggling to really get up to speed. Your guess is that there is a lack of power, but even though your check engine light hasn’t come on (or maybe it has) you know your car well enough that this isn’t normal behavior.
So whats the cause of this unusual behavior? Is this just your vehicle’s way of throwing a temper tantrum? Allow us to tell you a little more about what transmission limp mode or safe mode is. Read the rest of this entry »
Rumored Built-In Ram Truck Ramps
The half-ton pickup truck segment has been white hot, and only continues to heat up with each year, model refresh, and all-new redesigns. Because trucks within their light-duty and heavy-duty segments have comparable capabilities, automakers search for new ingenuity to set their truck apart from the others. Ram is no stranger to innovating new tools, options, and ideas for its drivers to help them work smarter and play harder than the competition.
Two major concepts that helped to push Ram ahead in the segment as an industry leader was its EcoDiesel engine and Ram Box. Light-duty Ram 1500s can be powered by the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 that produces a best-in-class fuel economy rating of 21 city/29 hwy mpg.
Another game-changer was the Ram Box which opened up new storage and organization opportunities with the added security of being locked up without using up any precious storage space in the truck bed. The latest whisperings are that there could be rumored built-in Ram truck ramps. Read the rest of this entry »

Would another Hellcat join the litter? And so, people began making guesses; would it be the compact Dart or perhaps the Ram trucks who are no strangers to the almighty Hemi engine; why not make the leap from the 5.7L Hemi V8 in the 1500 lineup to the 6.2L Hemi Hellcat V8 engine? Guess who is trying to muscle their way in beside the Dodge muscle cars? We’ll give you a hint. SRT already got their hands on this Jeep vehicle and gave it some seriously aggressive design details as well as fistfull of power, packing in 475-horsepower. The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT already is a force of nature; capable of doing 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, it shreds the track and still has all of the off-road capability you would expect of a Jeep.
But with SRT, enough is never enough as we saw with the Challenger and Chargers, and now word on the block is a third Hellcat may be joining the pack. The possibility of the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee “Trackhawk” Hellcat is a good one, but hasn’t yet been confirmed or denied by Jeep as of yet. Read the rest of this entry »

When is the Jeep Wrangler Redesign?
The history of Jeep is a fascinating one that begins in military form and was well-liked enough that production of civilian Jeeps began. The Wrangler begins its story in 1986 but since 1997, not many changes have been apparent. In part it has to do with the iconic look that it bears with bold patriotism, but needs to maintain its outstanding off-road capability.
